Abstract

A luggage portering handle 2 comprises an elongate grip 3 having an inner surface 4 formed with finger recesses 5 and an outer surface 6 formed with a thumb recess 7. At one end the grip 3 mounts a hook 8 turnable about a transverse axis A and engageable behind a strap 1. At its opposite end the grip 3 is formed with a slot 9 which extends from the surface 6 to the surface 4 in a direction away from the hook end of the grip 3 and which can engagingly receive the strap 1. The handle 2 is angularly displaceable relative to the strap 1 between a position in which the strap 1 contains a double bend at the slot end of the grip 3 and cannot or can only with great difficulty be pulled through the slot 9, and a position in which the strap 1 is aligned with the slot 9 and can easily be pulled through the slot 9. <IMAGE>
