Abstract

This invention relates to an elongate structural member and to structures made therefrom, and comprises an elongated channel member 1 of triangular cross section which has a pair of side flanges 2 and 3 separated by a web 4, the flanges 2 and 3 and web 4 forming the sides of the triangle. Engagement means for fittings are provided in the form of apertures 8. A basic structure such as a shelf or pallet rack is formed by four structural elements 1 at the corners of a unit to be formed. Brackets 15 or 25 are engaged in the holes 8 and also engage shelves. Cross members 28 may also be engaged with the building members 1. <IMAGE>
