Abstract
201,123. Soc. des Condenseurs Delas. July 21, 1922, [Convention date]. Progressive evaporators; separate heater and evaporator apparatus.-The liquid is forced by a pump h through the tubes of a heater a the headers of which are divided by baffles d<1> - - d<4>, f so that the liquid passes in succession through the separate rows of tubes, and between each passage is discharged into the evaporator cover the top of baffles d', d<3>, which are of successively lower height. The liquid finally flows into a well p from which it is returned to the heater by the pump h. Steam, hot water, or hot gases are passed through the heater a from an inlet k to outlet l. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a,) comprises also a modification in which the heater is arranged vertically below the evaporator c and the tubes of the heater are vertical. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
