Abstract

A blast resistant structure 1 has an opening selectively closed by a door 2. The door includes two movable locking hooks 28 which each selectively engage a rectangular channel 66 at the edges of the opening. The hooks and channels are parallel to the edge of the opening. The hooks ideally move parallel to the edge of the opening. There may be further hooks on the door, all parallel but moving in opposite directions. A pair of hooks can be formed by the same sheet. The door preferably hinges relative to the structure. Each side of the opening can include channel and hook fastenings, the sides should be vertical.
