Abstract

An optical system in which image errors are connected in a device for scanning thermal images by means comprising a rotating polygonal prism (1) in a convergent ray path, comprises at least one correcting lens (2) disposed in the ray path. The lens (2) is so designed in correspondence with the width of the prism (1) measured in the plane of its cross- section, the refractive index of the prism (1) and the number of surfaces of the prism (1) that astigmatism and image field curvature of the prism (1) are substantially corrected. <IMAGE>
