Abstract

A photographic camera includes an exposure indicator 21 controlled by a computer which determines whether the camera is adjusted to provide an acceptably exposed photograph, this determination being made by taking into account the over- and under-exposure limits of the film being utilized. The computer determines a range of acceptable exposure values from inputs representing film speed, film exposure latitudes and light level. It also determines the exposure value actually set by the shutter and diaphragm controls 16, 17. These are compared in order to control the indicator 21. The film speed input may be provided by contacts (50, Fig. 2 not shown) on the film cartridge (34). <IMAGE>
