Abstract

A process of purification of silicone materials comprises the steps of dissolving a silicone material to be purified in a solvent for this material, causing the separation from the resultant solution of a phase containing the long-chain polymers by adding a non-solvent for said long- chain polymers, recovering the resultant separated phase and thereafter removing any residual solvent and non-solvent from the recovered separated phase.
