Abstract
The invention provides a heating boiler having a horizontal combustion chamber 1 closed at the rear end 2, and having an outer casing 3 which encloses the combustion chamber and a water compartment 4 and which is closed at its front open end by a boiler door 5 which comprises a burner opening 6 for a burner leading into the combustion chamber 1. Flues 7 are disposed in the boiler water compartment 4 between the top of the combustion chamber 1 and the top of the outer casing 3 and are connected at the front end to the combustion chamber and at the rear end to a flue-gas collector 8. Spaced below the top part 10 of the combustion chamber 1 is a horizontal refractory insertion plate 9 which is contiguous with the sides of the chamber 1 and the boiler door 5 and is spaced apart from the rear wall 2 of the combustion chamber at the rear. <IMAGE>
