Abstract

A stem for lightweight dart flights of the kind formed from folded paper or plastics sheet material comprises a rear end formation 15 forming an integral structure with a plurality of forwardly directed limbs 16, the flight being mounted by sliding its wings 17 between said limbs towards the end formation following which forwardly projecting free ends of the limbs are gathered together to resiliently clamp the wings, and secured by being inserted into a rear end socket 13 of the dart body or of an intermediate shank 12 connected to the body 10. Preferably the end formation is rearwardly tapered or pointed to deflect other darts. The limbs may be metal wires or the stem may be an integral plastics moulding. <IMAGE>
