200,796. British Thomson - Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Warren, G. B., and Wirt, H. L.). July 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Axial-flow type ; nozzles.-In elastic-fluid turbines of the impulse type wherein the nozzle passages flare radially outwards, the nozzle sidewalls or partitions 6 at the throat and/or at the exit edges 8 are given a small forward inclination b to the radius a, the concentric form of the radially flared inner and outer walls of the nozzle passages being retained throughout the axial length of the nozzle. The nozzle throat may be positioned at the exit edges.
