Abstract

Dyestuffs which in the free acid form are of the formula: <IMAGE> where A is the residue of a diazotisable aromatic amine A-NH2 other than of the pyrene series, M is an optionally substituted 1,4- phenylene or 1,4-naphthylene group, R is H or C1-4alkyl, n is 0 or 1 and Q is a cellulose reactive group. Preferred dyes are disazo dyes especially those having low temperature reacting cellulose reactive groups such as dichlorotriazinyl. Dyes are valuable cellulose reactive dyes showing good fixation and build up and easy wash-off of unfixed dyestuff.
