Abstract

Clutches, friction. - A centrifugally controlled friction clutch for driving dynamos at a substantially constant speed comprises a driving member A provided with an internal annulus N which is gripped by friction discs M, M<1> having concave inner surfaces. The centrifugal action of balls O tends to separate the discs against the action of the spring R. The disc M is fixed to the generator shaft B and is connected to the disc M<1> by pins M<2>, and pins P are provided to drive the balls O.
