Abstract

A cleaning cloth for mounting on a base plate of a cleaning device has a cleaning surface, part of which is formed from a tangled fleece 2a, 2b the fibres of which are substantially non- wettable by a cleaning fluid, the remainder being formed from a material 8 which readily absorbs the cleaning fluid. The first part which may be formed from plastics fibres or metallic threads provides a scouring action and the other part a mopping action. The latter part may be formed from a pile fabric or a sponge. <IMAGE>
