Abstract

A printing system for a boarding pass and/or a baggage tag comprises a control unit receiving instructions from the operating unit, and a printing unit controlled by the control unit. The printing unit includes: a roll 1 of printing paper strip; a feeding mechanism 26, 27; guide members 4, 5; a dotting printer (electrostatic) 32 for printing; a cutting unit 40; and an ejecting mechanism 46, 48. The printing system may comprise a second such printing unit (not shown) controlled by the control unit. Adhesive members 62' may be stripped from the tape base and attached to the back of the printed and cut printing paper strip to form a baggage tag. <IMAGE>
