Abstract

According to the invention there is provided an end support 1 for a plate heat exchanger having at least one connecting port 2 surrounded by a reinforcing ring 7 secured to the end support. A corrosion-resistant bush 3 extends through the port and is retained in position by the reinforcing ring either by mechanical inter-engagement as shown or by being integral with the reinforcing ring. The bush may itself be a solid piece of corrosion-resistant metal, but it may itself have a corrosion-resistant liner. <IMAGE>
