198,309. British Thomson - Houston Co., Ltd., and Clough, F. H. April 20, 1922. Spindle apparatus.-A bobbin-carrier for spinning and like machines, wherein the carrier is frictionally driven from a member rotating in synchronism with and slidable on the spindle, comprises a flanged sleeve e provided with an inwardly-projecting flange d so as to embrace a flange c of a sleeve b splined to the spindle. A brake is applied to the rim g to effect the winding.
