Hand-iron handles.-In order that the operator's hand may assume a more natural position, the handle b, Fig. 3, is mounted at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the iron in a horizontal plane. It may be provided at its front with a rest c, Fig. 1, for the thumb and at its rear with a support d for the back of the hand.
