Abstract

197,247. Icke, S. C., and Daniel, C. A. Aug. 21, 1922. Rackets.-A tennis racket or the like is con. structed of a metal frame formed with ribs 6, the ends of the frame being accommodated within a metal tube 4 formed with channels 5. The tube is reinforced by a collar 7, which accommodates the ends of the wooden parts 12 of the handle. The wedge-piece 8 is adjusted by a screwed shank which passes through a plate 11, the ends of which engage with slots in the handle. The metal parts of the racket may be made of duralumin or aluminium.
