Abstract

196,356. Moorhouse & Co., Ltd., J. H., and Moorhouse, P. F. Jan. 19, 1922. Mattresses and spring surfaces.- A spring mattress or other spring surface comprises a frame a, longitudinal and transverse intersecting wires e, springs f attached at the points of intersection t and having square upper convolutions arranged parallel with the sides and ends of the frame, together with means for connecting the square, convolutions to each other and to the frame. The connecting means may comprise hooks g<1>, g<3> and links g<2>, or a rigid cruciform member, Fig. 6, may be used, while in a further modification the square convolutions are placed in contact with one another and are secured together by lengths of spiral wire. When the frame a is of wood, its corner joints may be constructed as shown in Fig. 4, a screw entering the holes c<2>. Specification 173,373 is referred to.
