194,169. Morton, R. H. March 31, 1922. Pie moulding and lidding machines.-In pie and tart moulding machines of the type in which the mould is carried by an arm 5 which can be swung by hand either under a moulding die 9, or a lidder or trimmer 23, the lidder is arranged to be operated by direct manual pressure against the action of a spring which automatically returns it to the inoperative position. The flidder 23 is carried by a spindle 22 mounted for sliding vertical movement in a bracket 21 on the frame 3 and is constrained upwardly by means of a spring 25 mounted on the spindle between the bracket and a screwed knob 24.
