Abstract

194,138. Sagar, C. K.. March 9, 1922. Belt fastenings of the type comprising two members A, B one of which is formed with a tubular cavity or recess a with aT-slot a' in the side and the other is formed with a T or enlarged head b to enter the slot and engage the interior of the tubular member to form a hinged connection. The tubular member is reinforced by a steel lining E, or the tubular part itself may be strengthened or thickened tu resist wear. The member B may be formed by folding a flat steel stamping in the manner shown in Fig. 6. The fastening may be made in multiple units for wide belts.
