Abstract

16,924. Jenigar, S. Dec. 1. Self-levelling furniture. - A ship's table is mounted on antifriction bearings carried by a support 12 and projecting through holes 20 in a cover plate or ring 19. The bearings may be in the form of balls 18 seated in angular sockets 17 in a central circular mounting collar 13 formed on the support. A spherical mounting member 21 secured to the table top is formed with grooves 23 to engage the balls, and is fitted with a depending weighted rod 24. The grooves 23 are widened towards their lower ends to prevent binding.
