Abstract
13,922. Dunhill, A. Sept. 30. Contents, delivering.-A metal match-box has a pivoted cover which, when opened, pushes out the tray of the match-box and acts as a wind-screen. The tray can be pushed back by hand without closing the cover. The cover 3 is hinged at 4 and is connected by a pin 8 to a lever 5, which has a pin 6 engaging a cam-groove 10, 11 in the tray of the match-box. When the cover is opened, the pin 6 first moves along the first portion 10 of the groove without moving the tray, and then along the portion 11, pushing the tray from the box. The slot 11 opens into a recess 12, which the pin 6 enters when the tray is pushed back by hand. On closing the cover 3, the pin 6'ascends an incline 15 and snaps into the groove 10.
