Abstract
13,240. New Liverpool Rubber Co., and Davies, I. W. Sept. 16. Goloshes.-In an overboot of the type in which the leg portion is wide enough to take the booted foot of the wearer and is secured by straps, the back of the leg is provided with a reinforcement G of canvas &c. which extends from the heel to the leg opening. The sole and heel are strengthened by wrapping their edges, while plastic, round the upper to form solid lips such as E, while the securing-straps, which are permanently secured to the boot, are each reinforced by a folded tape L, Fig. 4, solutioned to the back of the strap J and to the upper D ; pieces of fabric are also solutioned to the upper at the places where the buckles are liable to rub. The seam closing the upper is flattened and covered by a strip M of rubber &c. to render it water-tight.
