Abstract

12,355. Pelterie, R. Esnault-. Aug. 27. Dams.-In the system for utilizing tidal energy described in Specification 12,354/15, [Class 69 (i), Hydraulic apparatus &c.], the dams are built of slightly-reinforced concrete blocks C of the section shown. These are floated into position and then sunk by being filled with water, the hollow afterwards being filled with concrete. A tongue n and groove o are provided by means of which the blocks are alined before being sunk. The abutting dovetail-shaped grooves c are filled with concrete and contain reinforcing-rods d. Tubes a are formed in the blocks for the reception of concrete, by means of which they are anchored to the bottom.
