22,603. Herold, J. F. Nov. 16. Feeding appliances for animals.-Relates to pivoted feeding-troughs for use in pigsties &c. The metal trough 15 of the shape shown is pivoted on a bar 14 so that it can be turned into the feeding position shown in Fig. 3, or into the closed position shown in Fig. 4. The trough is retained in either position by means of a bail 18 pivoted to the trough and engaging either the lugs 21 or 23 struck up from the metal panel 10 secured in an opening left in the wall of the sty or pen A. An arcuate opening for the trough is also formed in the panel 10.
