Abstract

14,666. Clot, S. P. C. Aug. 19,1913, [Convention date]. Tents.-A vehicle 1 forms a central support for the framework of the tent, and is provided with a casing 6 on the roof for receiving the parts, when folded. A ridge bar 3 is supported on forked rods 2, which are pivoted to supports at 7 and secured in an upright position by pins c. The ends of the ridge bar are connected to corner posts 11 by jointed rafters 10 supported by struts 13. The corner posts 11 and intermediate posts 14 are connected by eaves bars 12 and stayed by guy ropes 15 secured by ground pegs 16. Two or more tents may be connected by covered passages and some of the vehicles are provided with motors for hauling, lighting, heating, &c.
