Abstract

7750. Golden, W. M. March 27. Animals, catching.-A bird or animal trap, or trap-nest is provided with a sliding shutter 1 moving in guides 2, 3 and supported in the set position by a bolt 8, Fig. 5, which passes beneath the lower edge of the shutter or through an aperture therein, lying loosely in the staple 9, and is attached to the hinged frame 10. The animal entering raises the frame 10 to the position shown in dotted lines, releasing the shutter. The frame and shutter may fall by gravity alone, or their action may be assisted by springs or weights. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 24,835/03 and'784/04.
