Abstract

26,746. Fisher, T. G. Nov. 21. Belts; garters.-Relates to waist - belts, garters, &c. of that type in which the band is made in two parts, one of the ends of each being secured in front by a buckle, while the other ends are secured to the garment, so that when the band is tightened, the ends approach one another and draw the garment towards the back of the wearer. According to the invention, the free ends of the band are provided with tabs detachably secured to the garment. As shown in Fig. 1, the parts 1, 2 fastened in front by a buckle 3 pass through loops or rings 4, 9 in the other part, and are provided with tabs 5, 7 detachably secured to the garment by button-holes on the tab engaging buttons on the garment. In the modification shown in Fig 4, the part 2 is formed with slots 10 through which pass tabs 11 on the other part 1. Or a single tongue on one part may engage with a single slot in the other part, the method of adjustment and attachment being the same.
