Propelling.-Aerial machines are propelled by wings a, one end of each wing being connected to rotating cranks d and the other end sliding in a rectilinear guide c on a level with the crank axis. The wings are mounted in pairs, and the cranks are rotated in opposite directions by gearing connected to a motor e on a platform suspended beneath the guides c.
