Hand-irons with steaming means.-A sad-iron, heated by spirit or otherwise, is provided with a water-compartment a the steam from which is led from a dome e and through a pipe i to perforations in a removable grooved sole-plate c, whence it passes to the article under treatment. The coverplate b is provided with two steam-channels leading to the dome and covered except at the ends by a plate k. The water is fed to the chamber a through a gauge-glass g.
