Abstract
11,762. Gottschalk, C. May 17. Track apparatus actuating signals on trains and for stopping trains.-The brake or signal operating rod 2 carries a pivoted contact-member 7, which is held against movement in one direction when the pivoted stop lever 12 is in either end position and is free to move in the other direction. The lever 7 is free to swing either way when the lever 12 is in its mid-position. When the train is travelling in such a direction that the track contact 1 tends to swing the lever 7 in a direction in which its movement is prevented, the bar 2 is lifted in guides 3, 4 and actuates the brakes or signals.
