3627. Lake, W. E., [Cottrell & Sons Co., C. B.]. Feb. 13. Inking - apparatus, particularly for multicolour rotary printing-presses, is so constructed as to ensure more even inking of the printing- plates under all circumstances. To effect this, the forme rolls 13, 14, 15, 16 are of successively decreasing diameters, the working-up rolls 8, 9 are of different diameters, and the ink-cylinder rolls 5, 6 are also of different diameters.
