Abstract
25,800. Fernbach, A. May 17, 1912. Tubes of special section; distributing liquids on outside of tubes &c.-A vacuum evaporator consists of a tube or tubes 3 coated with enamel and provided at the upper end with an annular basin 13 from which the liquid overflows and passes in a film over the outer surface of the tube, the path of the liquid being prolonged by means of a jacket of wide mesh asbestos fabric surrounding the tube. The surface of the tube may be smooth, or provided with semicylindrical beads or annular ribs 12. A pipe 10 is fitted for the supply of hot water or other heating-fluid.
