Abstract

21,621. Leusden, F. Pels-. Sept. 30. [Addition to 16,156/11.) Eyeglasses.-Relates to eyeglasses of the kind having a rigid bridge 2 combined with an upper bar 43 which carries the plaquets 7<a>, and consists in mounting the plaquets on arms 7, the heads 48 of which are slidably mounted in the tube 43 and connected by a spring 44. The plaquets can be forced apart by pressing on the finger - grips 42 mounted on the ends of rods 41. Each of these rods passes through the adjacent head 48, and is rotatably mounted in the further head. The rods 41 are screwthreaded as shown, and pass through non- rotatable nuts 46 slidable in the tube 43, so that the positions of the nuts and consequently the expansion of the spring 44 can be limited.
