Abstract

20,601. Jacquier, G. Sept. 3., Alloys. -Alloys containing aluminium, bismuth, and copper, with magnesium or silicon, are capable of resisting the corrosive action of sulphuric acid, cyanide solution, &c. The bismuth, copper, and silicon or magnesium are melted in a crucible, and molten aluminium is added. The alloys are used in the manufacture of cables, cages, and like vehicles, pumps, ropes, screens, skips, tanks, taps, and valves.
