Abstract

20,264. McDonell, J. Aug. 31. Packing and filling flour &c. into sacks.-In filling sacks with flour &c., the sack is attached to a sliding sleeve A capable of vertical reciprocation along the tubular member B by means of an internal rod C actuated by a connecting-rod D and crank E. The flour is fed in through the shoot L. A continuously rotating pulley G is adapted, by a driving-spur J which coacts with a spur K, to raise the sleeve and then to allow it to fall rapidly so as to shake the contents. The rod may be reciprocated from a crank which is continuously and positively rotated.
