Abstract
6110. Kay, C. March 11. Fuel-economizers; supports for articles to be heated.-A combined fuel-economizer and trivet comprises a fuel-economizing grid d detachably or fixedly carried by hooks a to which arms f rigidly carrying a shelf e are pivoted at g, so that the shelf may be placed as shown or be turned over the fire. A plate h with side flanges or projections may be loosely carried on the shelf e or may be carried by the aid of hooks k on the grid and pivoted arms n when the shelf is over the fire. As an alternative, the plate may itself have hooks and feet to be independently supported. A frame i may be pivoted at i' to the plate h or shelf e to form a flange round the shelf in the position shown, and to be capable of being turned up before the fire so that toasting or grilling may be performed by the aid of the rotary hook j which it carries.
