Abstract
19,011. Adams, W., and Woodward, H. E. Aug. 18. Thermometers. - A bimetallic strip for use as a thermometer consists of two such metals as brass, silver, or an alloy of nickel and mild steel, united by silver solder and allowed to cool under pressure; a single strip a may be used to close a single electric circuit or to control two circuits for registering temperature, as shown in Fig. 5; or two strips a, a<1>, Fig. 3, may be used with a contact between them. The strips may be twisted into spiral form. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 563/79, 7643/85, 14,023/87, 1512/92, 28,343/02, and 12,705/08, [all in Class 64, Heating].
