Steam - generator f u r n a c e s ; fuel, feeding; doors. - Consists in modifications of the construction of t h e boiler furnace described in Specification 21,729/07, in which the fuel is fed into the firebox from the top. The fire-box 1 is provided with a door 7 at the front in addition to the top doors 26. The door r 7 is preferably hinged at its upper edge, and contains a s m a l l stoking-door 8 and air - supply apertures 31. The furnace chamber and the longitudinal combustion chamber 27 are lined with fire-clay slabs or bricks.
