Bobbins, spools, &c.-A layer of cord or strong thread 3 is closelv wound on the base 2 of a bobbin, spool, &c. 1 to provide a foundation for the thread wound thereon and to prevent the thread from slipping. A shoulder 4 prevents the cord 3 from slipping over the end of the bobbin. Cylindrical spools having a shoulder at each end may be similarly treated.
