Abstract

29,620. Davis, G. Dec. 29. Incandescent lamps; supporting lamps.-Bayonet caps are provided with contact - plates which can be attached direct to conductors, without the use of a holder. Each contact-plate is formed from a strip of metal, which may be folded back upon itself, and is bent to a right-angle. One limb 2, Fig. 4, is embedded in the insulating-material of the cap and connected to the filament, while the other limb 3, Fig. 5, has one or more splits 4, as shown, and is flush with the end of the cap. For attachment to a conductor, one or more of the split portions are bent up, as shown in Fig. 4, and if a folded strip of metal is used, it is opened to form an eye 5. When a single strip is used, one or both portions of the split limb 3 have holes 6, Fig. 5.
