Abstract
24,591. Baxter, D., Baxter, H., and Baxter, F. Nov. 3. Nuts.-Relates to belt fastenings of the type wherein a nut is required to be turned to secure or release the fastening. The turning-key is formed with converging projections a, Figs. 5 and 7. The nut e cannot be turned until the teeth of the key have been inserted so as to clear the corresponding eccentric inner sides g of the slots or recesses f. In this position, part of the teeth project below and towards the centre of the nut, and the tendency of the key to be forced with the exertion of tightening up is obviated. According to the Provisional Specification, the key may have divergent teeth, the outer edges of the key slots being eccentric.
