Sash fastenings.-Mounted on the lower sash is an arm a, pivoted at a<1> and adapted to be turned so that the projecting pin c thereon enters a hole b<2> in the stile of the upper sash. A sliding bolt d mounted above the hole b<2> is adapted to take into a notch c<1> in the pin c so as to lock the arm in position. The arm a can be turned right down, as shown in dotted lines. A number of holes may be provided in the upper sash so that the window can be secured when open for ventilation.
