Building - blocks. -Fireproof floors, ceilings, and roofs are formed o f hollow or solid arched blocks A, Figs. 1 and 2, resting at one end on joists B and supported at the other by auxiliary blocks C, which also facilitate the placing of the larger blocks. Both forms of blocks are rabbeted for half their length to support adjacent blocks. In a modification, shown in Fig. 6, the main blocks H rest on the joists diagonally, the smaller blocks being used with the end blocks L only.
