Abstract
27,172. Cowper-Coles & Co., S., and Coles, S. Cowper-. Dec. 11. Case-hardening.-Metals and alloys, such as aluminium, copper, aluminium alloys, and copper alloys, are case-hardened by enclosing them in zinc dust, or a mixture of powdered zinc and zinc oxide, in a closed receptacle, and heating, preferably for about one hour to 400‹ F.
