C i n d e r sifters.-In a combined cinder bucket and sifter, the bucket A is fitted with a hinged or removable cover B and has a hinged bottom C, secured by a catch. Above the hinged bottom is fixed a sieve D, of woven wire, perforated metal, or other material. Cinders and ashes are placed in the upper part of the bucket, the bottom C and the lid B are closed, and the bucket shaken, the lugs E serving as handles. The ashes, which pass through the sieve, are discharged by opening the bottom C.
