190,174. Soc. GÚnÚrale d'Evaporation ProcÚdÚs Prache et Bouillon. Dec. 12, 1921, [Convention date]. Volatile liquids, recovering.-In extracting fatty oils from seeds, &c. by means of solvents such as carbon disulphide, carbon tetrachloride, benzine &c. the mixture of oil and solvent is separated by distillation in presence of water. The mixtures of oil and water obtained as residue and of solvent and water obtained as distillate are separated by decantation or centrifugal action. The distillation may be carried out at atmospheric or reduced pressure and in a multiple-effect apparatus. The water and the mixture of oil and solvent in the still are kept constantly stirred.
