Abstract

24,851. Fincken, G. Dec. 5. Stoppers; capsuling and sealing bottles &c.-In hermeticallysealed receptacles, such as are described in Specification No. 1669, A.D. 1900, the sealing cap a, Fig. 3, is provided with perforations b over the rubber packing-ring c, so that the rubber may enter the perforations when the cap is under pressure, thus preventing the cap from turning free from the packing-material. Jn the form shown in Fig. 4, the sealing-cap is dispensed with, the edge of the box engaging in a groove in the lid, and the groove being fitted with a packing-ring h. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the mouth of the box tapers, the lid being correspondingly shaped, and fitted with a packing-ring.
