Abstract

7256. Fewins, W. April 6. Throttle valves.-A throttlevalve for hotwater, gas, or steam apparatus is shown in section in Fig. 2. The disc c is centrally mounted on a spindle c', which has a projection c<11> working in the plug b<1>. The plug screws into an opening which is large enough to allow the valve to be withdrawn through it. In a modification, the spindle passes through the plug, which is fitted with a stuffing-box.
